These terms cover your use of this website and lessons booked with YASFRENCH, the online French tutoring service run by Yas. By booking a lesson you agree to them.
Lessons
- Lessons are one-to-one and take place online by video call.
- Lessons are arranged on WhatsApp. A lesson is booked once Yas confirms the date and time in writing.
- The first lesson is a trial lesson, so we can get to know each other, check your level and agree a plan.
- Please join on time with a working internet connection, camera and microphone. If you join late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time.
Prices and payment
Rates depend on the programme and the number of lessons, and are confirmed on WhatsApp before you book. Payment terms, including when payment is due, are agreed at the time of booking.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, missed lessons and refunds are covered by the refund policy.
Students under 18
If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must make the booking and accept these terms on their behalf, and should be at home and reachable during lessons.
Results
Yas will do her best to prepare every student well, but exam results depend on many things, including the student’s own work, so no particular grade can be guaranteed.
Respect
Lessons should be a friendly, respectful space. Yas may end a lesson, or stop working with a student, in case of abusive or inappropriate behaviour.
Lesson materials and this website
Materials shared in lessons are for the student’s personal study and must not be shared or sold. The content of this website belongs to YASFRENCH. It is general information and may change without notice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Ireland or elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
